Online Magazine Articles

Magazine articles generally include a specific date and a page number unless they are a free source from the Internet.

Example of free online magazine:

Kaiser, J. (2020, September 20). Cancer drug shrinks undruggable lung tumors. Science. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/09/                   

       cancer-drug-shrinks-undruggable-lung-tumors

Parenthetical Citation: (Kaiser, 2020)

Narrative Citation:  Kaiser (2020)

 

Example of a magazine article from a database with no DOI:                                                                                                                       Amodio, A. (2019, March 8). Voter suppression. Newsweek, 172.

Note: Do not include the name of the database or URL if the article does not have a DOI.  Treat the entry as you would a print source.

Parenthetical Citation: (Amodio, 2019)

Narrative Citation:  Amodio (2019)

 

Example of a magazine article from a database with a DOI:   

Maslin, M. (2020). Climate change? Yes, we can. New Scientist, 247(3290), 46-49. https://doi.org/10.1016/S0262-4079(20)31214-8

Print Magazine Articles

Example:
