Ebooks

Cite an ebook as you would a book, but afterwards include the container (site that hosts the ebook) and the location (URL).

Example:

Le Guin, U. K. (2009). The dispossessed [Abridged]. Harper Collins.

Parenthetical Citation: (Le Guin, 2009)

Narrative Citation: Le Guin (2009)

Note: It is not necessary to document that you have used an eBook or audiobook when the content is the same as a physical book. However, you should distinguish between the eBook or audiobook and the print version if the content is different or abridged. For more information on ebooks, see section 22, section 26 or section 29 in the APA Style Guide.
