Debbie (she/her)

Hello! My name is Debbie, and my preferred pronouns are she/her. Kansas City has been my home since 1987. My academic interests include Spanish, Psychology, and all things Business Management. I especially enjoy written and spoken communication, and creating collaborative learning experiences. I can assist students with writing assignments, SPAN 101, SPAN 102, SPAN 203, and any course required for an A.A.S. in Business Management. 

Rose (she/her)

Hello! My name is Rose, and my preferred pronouns are she/her. I am born and raised in Kansas City. I am double majoring in English and Spanish and am excited to provide my skills to (and for the benefit of) Latinx communities.  I work as a beginning and intermediate level Spanish tutor, and as a tutor in The Writing Studio!

Britta (she/her)

Hello! My name is Britta, and my preferred pronouns are she/her. I am a Kansas Citian born and raised. I love Mexican food, and I have spent most of my time in quarantine with my big fluffy cat, Dulci. If you need help with English, Music, or Psychology, please do not hesitate to reach out! 

Lee (he/him)

Hello! My named is Lee, and my preferred pronouns are he/him. I am originally from East Tennessee, but I have lived in the KC area for six years. I am currently working towards entrance into the Biotechnology program at KU Edwards. I can tutor for General Biology, Zoology, Botany, Writing, French, CSIS 115, and Physical Geology, as well as some Math classes.


I’ve lived in Kansas City my whole life. I plan to attend UMKC after MCC Longview to get a Bachelor of Computer Science. My dream is to work for a space agency such as Boeing or NASA. I tutor math, writing, and computer science here at Longview.

Hello! My name is Trin, and my preferred pronouns are he/him. I’m from Albany, Missouri, and I am finishing my Associates in Arts and starting my Associates of Engineering this semester. I tutor English, Spanish, and CSIS.

Nusaybah (she/her)

Hey! I'm Nusaybah, and my preferred pronouns are she/her. I grew up in Michigan and moved to KC 5 years ago to be closer to family. I love reading poetry and mystery novels! I'm mainly a writing tutor, but I also tutor students in other subjects, like chemistry, sociology, and psychology. I went to MCC for 2 years and graduated in 2019 with an Associate in Arts. Currently, I am continuing my love for education as a student at UMKC getting my Bachelor's in Biology.

Ian (he/him)

Hey there! My name is Ian, and my preferred pronouns are he/him. I am an MCC and MU grad and longtime writing tutor, and I can tutor anthropology, psychology, sociology, and Spanish outside of writing. In my free time, I like listening to audiobooks and podcasts, playing piano, writing, watching movies, and the occasional skateboarding and rock climbing. I look forward to meeting with you in the Writing Center!

Maggie (she/her or they/them)

My name is Maggie (she/her and they/them), and I'm an MCC and UCM graduate. I've been a writing tutor since 2016 when I began my teaching journey at MCC and discovered my passion for writing tutoring. I spend most of my time writing poetry, hanging out with my pets, and playing video games. I'm looking forward to working with you!


Hello! My name is Daniel. I have lived in the Kansas City Metro for my entire life. After finishing my Associate in Arts at MCC, I plan on going to a nearby college to procure my Master's in finance. The areas I have experience in for tutoring purposes are in English.
