Library Computers

The library has desktop computers available for use throughout the library. To log into a campus computer, you will use your myMCCKC user ID and password.

If you forget your myMCCKC login, go to the myMCCKC login screen and use the "Need UserID" and "Need Password" options to find your login credentials.

Printing

MCC students have access to campus printers in any campus library, computer lab, or computer classroom. The library has three all-in-one printer/copier/scanner devices, located on our reference side, circulation side, and library classroom.

Students are given an allowance of $20 at no cost each semester. Printing costs are:

  • $.10 per page black & white
  • $.50 per page color
  • Pricing is per print, not per sheet of paper. One two-sided printed page costs $.20, whereas one singled-sided printed page will cost $.10.

Additional money can be added to your account via credit card or cash.

  • To add money via cash, visit the library's circulation desk.
  • To add money via credit card, follow the instructions in our Quick Tech Tips page on this guide.

To access your printing limit, you can use the PaperCut software that appears on all campus computers. The software keeps track of your account balance, printing history and other information. To open PaperCut, click on the PaperCut icon on the system tray near the time and date.

We encourage all students to print only when needed and be environmentally conscious.

To learn more about printing and other technology available in the library, check out our Quick Tech Tips page on this guide.

Library Account

To access your library account, click on "My Library Account" on the MCC Libraries homepage. Your library account allows you to see what books you currently have checked out, materials you have requested via interlibrary loan, and more! You can also renew books that are nearing their due dates as long as the materials are eligible for renewal.

Your library account login is different from your MyMCCKC login. When logging into your library account, you will enter your first and last name and unique campus ID. Your unique campus ID is your student number without the "S" followed by MCC in all caps. For example, if your name is Jane Doe and your S# is S1234567, you would enter the following login credientials:

Name: Jane Doe
Unique Campus ID: 1234567MCC
(see screen shot below for example)

You will also use this unique campus ID to request books via interlibrary loan, as well as to borrow ebooks and audiobooks using Overdrive.
