From the MCCKC library page, click on the "Databases" link below or tab on the left. Select "eBook Collection (EBSCO)" from the list of databases under the books online subject. You will need to sign into the database using your MCC email and password.
On the eBook Collection (EBSCO) homepage, you can do a keyword search for your topic or search for a specific title.
On the results page, you can filter your results by full text, how recently it's been published, and source type.
Click the title of the book to open the book record page. There you can learn more information about the book. You can access the book now in the browser or you can download a part of the book to your device (you can check the permissions section for how many pages you can download or print).
You will need to have an EBSCOhost account to download an eBook or email an eBook to yourself. It is both free and easy to create an account.
To create an EBSCO Account, you will need to go to the EBSCO eBook Collection database. Then select "MyEBSCO" at the top right. Select "Sign In to My EBSCO" or select "Create an account" on the drop down menu.
You will be taken to new page to create your account.
Select "Sign up" and follow the instructions to create an EBSCO account. Once you have created the account, you will have a username and password that you can use to retrieve eBooks that you have emailed to yourself.
When accessing an eBook through EBSCO, you may want to email the eBook to yourself. This allows you to access the eBook at a later time without having to go through the search process again. The option to email the eBook is under the "Share" button at the top of the book record page. Then Click Email to share via email.
When you click on the hyperlink within the email, you are taken to a page that asks for a username and password to open the eBook.
