Finding Books

  1. Search for books using the campus Library Catalog (or the box above).
    1. If you have a topic in mind, do a Keyword Search. If you find a book on your topic, notice the LC Subject Heading and try a Subject Search to find more books on the same topic.

LC Subject Headings are hyperlinked in catalog records so you can just click on the link to see your subject in an alpha-list of subjects. Click on it one more time to see all the items in the catalog with that Subject heading.

    1. If you have a title in mind, switch the drop-down menu to Title and do a Title Search.
    2. Make sure to select your MCC campus from the View Entire Collection drop down menu.
  1. If your campus library does not have your book, click the "Catalog Home" link at the top of the page. This will look for copies of your book across all the MCC and other area college libraries. If you find an item you're interested in, click on the "Request" button and follow the directions. Our campus code is 'MCC' so your unique campus ID should be your 7-digit ID number and NOT include the letter before the number; it should look something like: 1234567MCC.
  2. Still no luck? Get materials from libraries around the state of Missouri by clicking on the "MOBIUS" link at the top of the page. Once you find a book you want, click on the "Request" button and follow the directions.
