IBISWorld
IBISWorld allows users to search by keyword or NAICS code for industry data, or you can find information about industries in specific countries.
NAICS codes
You can sometimes search more easily by finding the NAICS code for an industry, and then searching by that. This works especially well in IBISWorld.
Plunkett
Plunkett has some free resources for industries. To search industries, select "Select Industry" under "Market Research Reports and Database"
Statista Industry Reports
Statista is a great resource for statistics on many topics, but they have industry reports for both US and international industries. You can do a keyword search for your industry on the Statista industry page.

Industry information with an international scope, divided into specific areas.
Harvard Industry Guides
These are libguides created by business librarians at Harvard for specific industries--some of the resources (like library databases) won't be available to those outside the Harvard community, but they are worth a look for their free resources.

Wall Street Journal (ProQuest) This link opens in a new window
Search the financial newspaper of record providing in-depth coverage of national and international finance news and also detailed articles on the arts, politics, and popular culture. Also includes WSJ the Magazine and Wall Street Journal Online. (Full-text coverage 1984 to present)

US Gov Economic Census
From the website, "The Economic Census is the official measure of the Nation’s businesses and economy. Conducted every five years, the survey serves as the statistical benchmark for current economic activity, such as, the Gross Domestic Product and the Producer Price Index." This website can be tricky at times to navigate, but that is just because there is so much data. Don't be afraid to ask a librarian for help navigating.
Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM)
From the website, "The Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM) provides sample estimates of statistics for all manufacturing establishments with one or more paid employee." Just like the Economic Census, there is so much data it can be a little tricky to navigate--don't be afraid to reach out for assistance.
