Scope and Mission:
The mission of the Metropolitan Community College - Longview Archives and Special Collections is to preserve items related to the history, organization, policies, procedures, people, and activities of MCC-Longview. The collections are also composed of historical documents related to the Longview Farm and Long family.
The Archives are located in room 131 in the east wing of the Longview library. Formats include institutional records, personal papers, photographs, newspaper clippings, published materials, and ephemera. Items in this collection are available to view by appointment or special request.
Special Collections are primarily located in the Longview Legacy room and are freely available. Fragile items will only be available to view by appointment and stored in room 131 in the east wing of the library. Special Collections include yearbooks, student newspapers, scrapbooks, and other items that provide historical information on college programs and organizations.
