Finding a Job - Maple Woods

Finding a job can be overwhelming. Maple Woods Library can help.

Finding Career Books in the Library

There are many different ways to find books in the library.

Browse the shelves: Books on jobs, careers, and occupations are shelved at 331.702. Look for them in both the Reference and the Circulation areas. Books on job hunting, resumes, networking, and cover letters can be found at 650.14.

Online catalog: If you prefer not to browse the shelves, you can search for books in the library catalog. You can search by keyword or by Subject (LC) to get a smaller, more focused group of results. Try these search terms: Resumes (Employment), Job Hunting, Occupations, Cover Letters, Employment Interviewing, and Business Networks.

To browse online, once you've found an interesting book, click on the blue number labeled Call # to see other books shelved nearby.

Ebooks only: Click Modify Search near the top of the page and select "EBOOK" under "Other Format".

If you're still not finding what you're looking for, try searching MOBIUS to find books from a network of Missouri libraries. The MOBIUS catalog contains 29 million items, and you can request circulating books at no charge.
